Douglas K. Alder is a Partner and Senior Research Analyst at Fayez Sarofim & Co. and the President of Sarofim Realty Advisors LLC. Mr. Alder joined the firm in 2002, after completing an internship in the summer of 2001. He serves as the sector leader for the financials and real estate industries and is currently responsible for research of the internet, payments, information services and insurance industries. Mr. Alder is a non-voting participating member of the Investment Committee.
Mr. Alder received an M.B.A. with Distinction from the University of Texas in 2002, where he was a Sord Scholar and received the Dean’s Award for Academic Excellence. He received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Brigham Young University in 1997, where he graduated summa cum laude. Prior to joining the Fayez Sarofim & Co., he was employed with ExxonMobil Corporation as a Project Manager.
Mr. Alder is an advisor for the student-managed Texas McCombs Investment Advisors’ Longhorn and Endowment Portfolios.
